Ordered Tempura vegetable on menu, asked waitress is that come with tempura shrimp and said yes. Then no shrimps! And I asked back with shrimp and say they will charge me extra $4 because I didn't say I want the shrimp! It is already over $9 for that with or without shrimp, why would I wanted to ordered shrimp separately. These guys are nonsense. This place is crowded and only a few seats. No apologies if they make mistake and on the top of that tried to ripped me off. No more! I been there and done that for like 10 years! SERVICES SUCK!

Always yummy Tani's kitchen never fails on delivering legit Japanese meals. From the basic bento boxes to the sushi and roll to the more popular curry varieties, this place is certainly a local favorite. Seating is very limited and often has a wait. Not recommended for large groups, 3-4 max. Take out is also available if you prefer not to wait for don't want to rub shoulders with strangers.

This place is family owned Authentic Japanese cuisine! Probably one of the best curries in the town, made with Golden Curry.

I have been holding back on leaving a review here for a long time. I first discovered this place back in the early 2000's with my best friend and it has become one of my favorite restaurants to go to. When you hear of hole in the wall... this place fits that description to the tee. Seats up to 7-10, small space, shimming up and down the aisles to not but into people, and hidden from view. To get on with the food, tani's serve Japanese comfort food with a small selection of sushi. From curry to udon, they are prepared with love by the chef and I am always excited to hear/see him work his magic. Recommendations: If you have never been to tani's... order the curry and half a order of tamago. Always a great solid pick. Curry comes with your choice of protein (chicken katsu is a great pick). My go to order is always the ny steak, done medium rare with half an order of tamago sashimi. Warnings: You can use your cell phone... but do not take calls on your phone while there. Be respectful and you'll be fine.

Went to celebrate a coworker's birthday, old restaurant in corner of square, lots of tables and space in the restaurant but only 2 other tables used beside our's the whole time we were there, still it took a really long time for our host to approach us to take orders and an even longer time for our food to come, the appetizers came with the actual main dishes and they still didn't bring all the food for everyone. by the time it came we already had to leave. We took a 1.5 hour lunch and we still made it back to work late. Waitress didn't write any of our orders down and got our orders wrong so many times, even the drinks and there were only 5 of us in our party. Food wasn't bad but was definitely not worth the trip!
